Senior Adult Ministry
Senior Adult Ministry or S.A.M ministry is a ministry inside the body of Chrstians that is ministring to the adult generation. Senior Adults are ministring to these around them in witnessing, encouragment, discipling, mentoring, passing wisdom. They have learnd by just the experience they have lived.
They are able to help with many tasks around the church because they are retired and don't have daily jobs to be at. They have learned that study in the Word and prayer bring many results when nothing else can. There are many activities that seniors enjoy doing together.
According to to the 1990 census, older adults represented 12.6 percent of the country's population. that is a population worth having a ministry for. The Word says we are to Honor and Respect our elders. May we, as the elder generation be worthy in Christ of this Respect and Honor.
As Paul said, " Follow me, as I follow Christ."
